“The Weary Kind”
A good movie about music or musicians is rare but can be very special. I have a hunch that directors have trouble with the often non-dramatic lifestyle that is typical of working, gigging musicians. Here is a song that I’ve covered and recorded, written for one of the best musician movies I’ve seen:
“The Weary Kind” (by Ryan Bingham, the original is extremely well produced by T-Bone Burnett) – the theme song from Crazy Heart, a great movie that starred Jeff Bridges as an older musician living in the shadow of his younger contemporaries.
